Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
